Ditching the 9 to 5 to pursue a passion
Leonardo Luna Alarcon - Owner
Leonardo was inspired to start this business during the upcoming birth of his son. He realized that a regular 9-5 job wasn't going to cut it anymore. After working as a siding installer for a few months, Luna fell in love with the industry and gained a sense of pride after completing a project.
After planning how he wanted to grow the business, he took the only savings he had from a recent car sale he made and invested in tools.
From there the road to achieving his goals started to unfold…
The big break
Things were bumpy at first. Leonardo missed the birth of his son because he was working 3 hours away at a new project. Once winter hit, things slowed down and he had to push through. He knew he could succeed with the passion he had for his new company.
Leonardo’s family had to find different accommodations because they could no longer afford their apartment. He refused to put himself into debt at the time, so they made every dollar count.
Soon enough, Leonardo caught a break and landed a big project in which he was able to expand the company with buying more tools and onboarding new employees.
“This business has had its highs and lows, but through everything I've learned so much and continue to grow. My ultimate goal for this company is to be able to be great at every single service we provide while maintaining quality work and customer service.”
— Leonardo Luna Alarcon, Owner of L&A Construction
